PURPOSE

IT Blueprint Solutions is committed to fostering a work environment that is inclusive, equitable, and diverse. SCOPE

This policy applies to all employees (full-time, part-time, contractual, permanent, temporary), vendors, suppliers, contractors, visitors, customers, and job applicants.

DEFINITIONS

  • Diversity: Differences across age, race, colour, national or ethnic origin, family or marital status, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, language, physical and mental ability, genetic characteristics, political affiliation, religion, socio-economic status, and other characteristics.
  • Equity: Ensuring fair access to opportunities for all, addressing systemic barriers and the effects of colonization and social disparity.
  • Inclusion: Creating an organizational culture where every individual feels valued, empowered, and able to fully participate.

GOVERNANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY

EDI Officer & Committee: A designated EDI Officer and Committee oversees the continuous improvement of this policy.

Reporting & Transparency: We will publish an annual EDI report that includes:

  • Workforce diversity metrics
  • Supplier diversity metrics
  • EDI training participation rates.

SUPPLIER DIVERSITY & SUPPLY CHAIN ACCOUNTABILITY

IT Blueprint Solutions believes our supply chain should be as diverse as the communities we serve. Our goal is to give diverse suppliers and their communities the opportunity and support they need to thrive as vital contributors to IT Blueprint Solutions’ success.

We work to minimize and eliminate barriers and biases to supplier engagement and leverage supplier diversity and supply chain accountability to amplify our impact by engaging and supporting our suppliers in their own inclusion efforts.

We will:

  • Set targets for annual spend with diverse suppliers
  • Collect Supplier Diversity Self-Declarations.
  • Track and report spend with diverse suppliers.
  • Engage certified suppliers including women-, Indigenous-, LGBTQ2S+-, minority-, veteran-, and disability-owned businesses.
  • Align practices with CAMSC, CGLCC, WEConnect International, and other certifying bodies.

INDIGENOUS RELATIONS

  • Support the principles of the BC Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA).
  • Seek engagement opportunities with Indigenous-owned businesses.
  • Educate staff on Indigenous history and reconciliation.

EMPLOYEE TRAINING & ENGAGEMENT

  • Mandatory annual EDI training for all staff.
  • Advanced inclusive leadership training for managers.
  • Create channels for employee feedback and continuous improvement.

EXTERNAL ALIGNMENT

Our program aligns with:

  • Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) best practices.
  • Federal Contractors Program for Employment Equity.

REPRISALS

Employees who raise concerns or file complaints in accordance with this policy will not face retaliation.

POLICY REVIEW

This policy will be reviewed no less than every two years to ensure it remains effective and reflective of best practices.
